We are highly skilled in the creative & technical facets of interior & exterior installations, renovation & restoration for many types of finishing work and landscaping. Our strengths lie in creating unique projects, integrity of attention to detail and satisfying customers; people skills, organizing crews and work-flow productivity; although our forte is design-build can create scale drawings and are familiar with working to codes & blue prints.

We contract, design, supply and install complete bathroom, kitchen and garden room etc. renovations, as well as supplying sub trades, plans and permits. We are familiar with in floor heating systems and waterproof membranes. We are experienced in dealing with architects engineers, planners, designers, builders, suppliers, contractors and other sub trades, as well as co-coordinating these activities.

Starting from a renovation background, in contracting we moved from framing & finish carpentry, drywall, hardwood floor installation, sanding & refinishing, vinyl squares, sheet goods, underlays,; to plastering and painting - including rag, faux & glaze finishes etc., to tile-work and indoor stone work - slate, marble and granite for floors, stairs, columns, counters and cabinets; tubs, spas, indoor and outdoor swimming pools etc; to outdoor stone work - walls, columns, steps, cut stone and flagstone patios etc.

We also create gazebos, overheads and various other outdoor structures such as decks, wooden fences & gates, sheds & pool-houses, play areas, chain-link fences and 'living fences' like cedar hedges. As organic gardener-landscapers, we create and supply our own compost for the plantings we supply of trees, shrubs, annual & perennial plants and vegetable gardens. We also design, supply and install watering systems.

We have a great deal of experience with large boulder and rock installation in 'tight' spaces, whose 'natural-looking' formations enhance our installations of streams, ponds and waterfalls. We also use bobcats and work extensively with cranes and graders. We install varies types of pavers and interlocking bricks for raised bed entries, steps, paths and driveways. Amongst our specialities are creating meditation gardens and 'outdoor rooms' for various uses.

We display initiative; commitment to quality and completion of projects on time and within budget, as well as a creative design & implementation ability in 'up grade' jobs. We are good organiser-communicators and have coordinated the liaison for whole sub-divisions, as well as individual homes and commercial projects. For example, we tiled the executive office suite washrooms at Olympia Tile, the largest ceramic tile company in Canada and ground, honed and sealed the marble staircases at the Markham Public Library. Most of our experience has been with small to medium-size, upgrade private jobs - although we have been involved with many commercial applications such as store fronts & interiors, restaurants, clubs etc and sub-contracted to builders in construction projects of various sizes. We also provide the necessary continuing maintenance on even very small jobs such as cleaning and re-sealing tubs and showers. In fact we specialise in bathroom and kitchen renovations & upgrades, as well as mould removal and cleaning.

Some Points for Consideration

Environmental Hazards, mould, access, site preparation, demolition, ventilation, hydro, drainage, water, heat, cleaning and garbage removal, site security and safety etc and potential factors which could delay completion by Lotus, such as other trades, builders and other suppliers etc.

Re-building, shimming, plumbing, levelling, squaring, re-surfacing or patching surfaces; perfect fits to walls without baseboards and/or quarter rounds, angle, mitre & hole cuts; curved, angled, hanging or recessed surfaces on ledges, windows & arches, etc; steps, decks, shelves, columns, bulkheads, ceilings; matching of existing joint lines on multi-dimensional surfaces & around handrails; colour combinations, inlay patterns, designs, trims, inserts, coloured grouts; non-standard materials such as over/undersized (e.g. 14+" tiles or mosaics); varying thicknesses, irregular shapes (not rectangular or square); fluted, spherical & materials that only a water saw will cut; stone, mirror, glass, plastic and metallic materials; should all be considered.
